Doggy Haven-where dogs feel at home

Pet care experience

Please note: I can not take any dogs that do not get along with other dogs. My hours for drop offs and pick ups are between 8:00am and 8:00pm Monday through Saturday and 9:00am and 8:00pm on Sunday. We have a large, fenced yard and a quiet neighborhood. We have a goofy, one year old Great Dane mix adopted in February. The dogs spend a lot of time in our large, fenced back yard. There are toys and) other dogs to play with. We play ball, tug and fetch with them, as well. During the warmer months, they go outside as much as they want, with a watchful eye, of course. During the colder times, they still go in and out a lot, but we get a lot of exercise opening and closing the back door many, many times per day. When indoors, they snuggle, play and enjoy the many dog beds and human seating areas. We get a lot of joy from our personal dog, Walter, and love having guests here for him to play with . We have been in business since the Spring of 2012, and pre-pandemic, almost always had guest dogs in our home. We are used to all breeds and all sizes. We have hosted everything from four pound miniature poodles to a 175 lb African Boerbell mastiff. We generally host several dogs at a time. We prefer dogs house-trained, over 6 months, but will take younger if house-trained. We do not usually take adult dogs that aren’t neutered or spayed, But recognize that some breeds are neutered/spayed later than a year and will consider each dog individually. . We would love to meet your dog and have him or her visit! About this sitter: We live in a quiet neighborhood. We absolutely love dogs. We have over 30 years experience caring for our own pets and over 10 years taking care of guest pets, as well. We understand how important it is to know that your dog is in a good place, getting plenty of playtime, exercise and attention while you are away. Why I love dog sitting I have had dogs nearly my entire life. Our pets have always been a part of our family and treated with lots of love and affection. We love having guest dogs in our home and learning about differet breeds and sizes. Meet my pets None at the moment. We lost out Great Dane, Tank, a few years ago. I’m sure there will be another dog in out future, though. About my yard Our back yard is quite large and completely enclosed with a 6 foot privacy fence. There is plenty of open space to play and run around. My experience administering medication We are very comfortable with and experienced at administering medications of all types.

Our cat really enjoyed having Eleanor over. From the photos sent, he was all tuckered out from play which made me happy - Who enjoys leaving their furbaby alone while on vacation? I would definitely request Eleanor's services again - Thanks Eleanor!

We’ve done three successful stays at Eleanor’s! Our dog has a great time - they were patient with her when it stormed and she was scared. Communication was excellent. Drop off and pick up was flexible. Great experience!

Eleanor was amazing with our little dog. She was so sweet with him and knew he was a little shy meeting the bigger dogs. She was so thoughtful and noticed when he was overwhelmed. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!

Information Eleanor W. would like to know about your pet

Your dog needs friendly with other dogs, friendly with strangers and be fully house trained, which includes accidents, counter surfing and chewing of household or personal items. We need a copy of up to date vaccination records for insurance purposes. We also like to know of meal instructions and any special needs. We are able to handle food aggression, but we need to know in advance so we can be prepared.

A typical day

Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog may sleep anywhere he/she is comfortable. If your pet is allowed on furniture, many of our guests sleep on the sofa and chairs in the family room. We can also accommodate your own dog bed or crate if that is what is best for them. We have dog beds in the living, family and dining rooms for our guest to get comfy on, as well. Time I'll spend with your dog We both work from home, so someone is usually home every day. We pay a lot of attention to our guest dogs and with our large, fenced in back yard, they can spend as much time outside as they want.
